Hello!

I’m taking some baby steps into writing blogs. I’m not 100% sure on what I’ll be writing about, but I’ll be sharing some process chat about my work, sketchbook musings, possibly some other stuff that I’ve not thought about yet…

So, a little intro.

I live in North Somerset, just outside Bristol. After many many years of secret sketchbooking, and working as a project manager at creative agencies, I felt the urge to expand my creative practice. I set up an anonymous Instagram account, and started joining The Goodship Illustration Friday night art club sessions.

It became quite addictive!

So I dug out some brushes and bits and bobs that had been packed away since I left art school in the 90’s, and started experimenting again. Then buying more materials.

Then I claimed a bit of space in the garage to work in.

Then a bit more, and a bit more.

And I kept painting and drawing, and now we’re here.

Last year a few exciting things happened. I had some paintings in some local exhibitions at Bocabar and Unit 8 Studios in Bristol. Some paintings went off to new homes. I made some art prints and some of those also went off to new homes.

And I built this website. You can have a look around this site to see some of the original paintings and art prints that I currently have for sale.
